Structural Engineer Mid, PE
Qualifications
We are seeking motivated individuals who are passionate about structural engineering and thrive in collaborative environments. Ideal candidates will possess:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution, with a focus on structural engineering coursework
- Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in the design and analysis of vertical concrete, masonry, and steel structures, with a strong focus on performing structural design work in high seismic zones. Protective design and security experience, including blast-resistant design and progressive collapse analysis, a plus.
- Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is required; licensed Structural Engineer (SE) a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis software such as Bentley RAM, RISA 3D, SAFE and STAAD Pro
- Time Management: Proven ability to meet project deadlines while adhering to quality standards
- Software Proficiency: Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is required.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary, team-oriented environment
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness to participate in short-term international travel assignments as needed
- Driver’s License: Ability to drive for business purposes with a valid driver’s license, maintaining a clean driving record and passing a motor vehicle background check
- Additional Requirements: U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence is required for this role, as is the ability to pass background checks (including criminal and credit history).
Additional Information:
The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to geographic location, qualifications, licensures, certifications, experience, and other skills relevant to the needs of the business.
