Resource Efficiency Manager (REM) - Tetra Tech/Air National Guard, New England and Michigan (Remote)

Qualifications:

The required experience in facility energy management depends on your education level:

• 3+ years of experience for those with a relevant master’s degree or PhD
• 6+ years of experience for those with a relevant bachelor’s degree
• 10+ years of experience for those with a relevant technical degree

Strong HVAC background and experience with energy auditing, project development, life-cycle cost analysis, direct digital controls, commissioning, and building/system optimization is desired. Previous experience working at Federal / Department of Defense facilities, particularly ANG or Air Force bases, is a plus.

The position requires:

• Knowledge of utility information systems, energy management technologies, and metering
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to produce results
• Ability to produce technically correct finished work, including technical reports, white papers, metrics, and briefs
• Proficient computer skills, including the use of spreadsheets, especially MS Excel, and other database applications

BS in engineering or energy-related field is strongly preferred, but military or civilian experience working at ANG or Air Force bases or other Federal installations, or experience in energy-related field may be acceptable.

Certified Energy Manager (CEM) designation is required or must be able to obtain. 

U.S. citizenship is required, and you must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Work Environment: The REM will operate within an office environment but will frequently conduct field visits to client facility sites. The role involves interacting with both customers and the Tetra Tech Energy Team to achieve energy management objectives. Physical requirements include the ability to exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, with light physical work involving significant walking or standing, including walking 2 to 3 miles within a few hours. Climbing ladders, accessing roofs, and navigating narrow mechanical rooms may also be required.

Salary Range: $95,000 - $115,000, depending on education, experience, skills, and location, as part of a compensation package, including a basic core medical plan and our 401k retirement plan.
