We are currently looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our team in our Pasadena, CA office. The pay scale for this position is $27.00 - $31.00 an hour, based on qualifications and experience.

Your Role:

• Execute established controls to ensure data integrity and accuracy of employee payroll data.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of payroll in accordance with legal requirements and company policies.
• Audit and load time data from OTL (Oracle Time and Labor) or other sources such as Excel spreadsheet. 
• Understand the flow of data from HR, OTL through to general ledger.
• Process manual wire and as needed check requests in accordance with legal and business units’ requirements and company policies. 
• Perform special payroll related calculations such as retroactive payments, time off accruals, etc. 
• Develop and maintain excellent working relationships and communication with business unit HR and payroll contacts.
• Input and maintain payroll data such as direct deposit, garnishments, bonuses etc. 
• Review and coordinate payroll processing calendar/schedules. 
• Audit pre and post payroll process. 
• Exercise good judgment in the application and interpretation of company policies, union contracts and legal regulations as they relate to payroll.
• Respond to HR staff and employees regarding payroll matters. 
• May assist in the review and input of federal and state W4 data and local tax withholding set up. 
• Create and maintain excel reports. 
• May perform general ledger analysis related to payroll accounts. 
• Data analysis and testing of new extensions.
• Assist Management with any special payroll requests and projects.

Qualifications:

• AA preferred, not required.
• Must be available to work in PST.
• 2-6 years of payroll processing experience.
• Knowledge of computerized payroll systems.
• Knowledge of payroll regulations such as federal and state wage and hour laws, and tax laws.
• Must be able to perform basic to moderate math calculations.
• Must have the ability to perform detail analysis.
• Must have good oral and written communication skills.
• Must be detail oriented and possess excellent organizational skills.

• Must be able to research, analyze and resolve payroll related issues and maintain complete and accurate records.

   

• Strong interpersonal and problem resolution skills.
• Versed in the use of a PC and related applications such as Windows, Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of computerized payroll systems, preferably ADP Vantage, ADP Reporting.
• Knowledge of Excel and Oracle Time and Labor.
