Environmental Economist Planner Entry-Level
To be a successful Environmental Economist/Planner/Cost Estimator, you’ll need to have:
- A bachelor’s degree in economics, planning, civil engineering, environmental science, or a related discipline.
- 0-5+ years of experience in economic analysis, cost estimation, or planning for water resources, infrastructure, or environmental projects.
- Proficiency in economic modeling and analysis tools (e.g., HEC-FDA, @RISK, MCACES) is preferred.
- Familiarity with GIS tools and applications for data analysis and visualization is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of federal and state water resource regulations and guidelines (e.g., FEMA, USACE) is a plus.
- Experience with benefit-cost analysis and risk-based modeling is preferred.

We offer a competitive hourly rate for this position, with a range of $28-$38 per hour, determined based on your education, qualifications, professional experience, and location of the role.
