Economic Growth, Recovery, and Livelihoods Expert, YCLE, Remote

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in international development, agriculture, business, marketing, labor market, food security, economic development, or related field required.  Master’s degree preferred. 
• Minimum 10 years of working experience in economic development, economic growth, macroeconomic policy, or related fields required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with USG or other donor-funded development projects focused on livelihoods, economic recovery, and resilience is required.
• Experience in preparation/implementation/monitoring of livelihood programs.
• Experience in conducting research, studies, assessments, and evaluations.
• Understand livelihood development and protection at the local level.
• Exposure to rural markets, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and on-farm, off-farm and non-farm-based livelihoods.
• Familiarity with the Yemen context is preferable.
• Experience working and coordinating effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders, including national and local government and donors.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
• Strong analytical skills, result oriented and effective communication skills.
• Strong demonstrated oral and written English skills required. Oral and written skills in Arabic highly preferred.
