Deckhand/Rigger
Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Experience loading and unloading supplies and material from dock or vessels
- Experience working on small boats and large vessels, including boat operation and rigging and lifting.
- Experience in offshore operations and working in a consulting, multi-client, fast-paced environment, with changes in daily activities.
- Experiencing towing and backing boats and/or utility trailers of various sizes.
- Experience with sediment samplers and corers, vibrocorers, water samplers, trawls, and/or ship deck operations.
- Line handling/rig towing lines
- Vessel maintenance and condition inspections
- Valid US Passport
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations and have no criminal record.
Desirable Experience and Certifications:
- STCW Safety training for at sea emergencies. (Fire, First-Aid, survival at seal)
- First-Aid / CPR
- TWIC, Merchant Mariners Credential, State Boating Card
- THUET 5194 CA-EBS Conjunction - Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System
- Rigger Safety (API 7th Edition)
