Your Role:

Tetra Tech’s Disaster Response Division is currently accepting applications for a Database Administrator. The position is responsible for responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining an organization's Microsoft Azure and On-Premise databases, ensuring data integrity, security, accessibility, and efficient operations by monitoring performance, and troubleshooting database issues and performing requests for database information using T-SQL and other reporting tools. The successful candidate will be joining a full stack development team responsible for building and maintaining technology that supports zero-notice disaster related services

·       Extracting and/or loading data between varying data formats (i.e. excel to SQL)

·       Ability to perform ad hoc analyses for the Senior Management Team

·       Ethically handling private data, including PII in the execution of certain projects

·       Evaluating the design, selection, and implementation of database changes

·       Guide and mentor junior data support team staff.

·       Maintaining data management plans and Standard Operating Procedures

·       Participate in the integration of new technologies and initiatives into data standards and structures

·       Participate in development sprints and effectively manage the completion of key data milestones

·       Quality assurance and quality control of project data & project deliverables

·       Maintaining data management plans and Standard Operating Procedures

·       Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards

·       Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness

·       Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.

·       Additional duties as required

Qualifications:

·       Minimum Bachelor degree or relative experience. Degrees are preferable in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or another related field

·       Microsoft Certification in Azure Database Administrator Associate and other data related certifications is a plus

·       Minimum 2+ years of experience in a team lead, supervisory, or managerial role

·       Minimum 4+ years of experience and excellent knowledge of Microsoft SQL server and T-SQL

·       Familiarity with Smartsheets application, API integration is a plus

·       Ability to utilize Microsoft PowerBI or similar business analysis software

·       Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies implemented in Azure Devops

·       Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, Word, SharePoint, Outlook, etc.)

·       Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously, set priorities, and plan work to meet deadlines

·       High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

·       Must have solid written and verbal communication skills

·       Ability to work effectively in a team environment 

·       Flexibility to travel to project job sites for extended periods as needed
