Cultural Resource/Archaeological Technician - Salt Lake City, UT
Required Qualifications:
BA in Archaeology/Anthropology.
Entry-level or greater experience.
No required licenses/certifications.
Candidate must have attended an archaeological field school.
A Pre-employment drug screen in compliance with state regulations is required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Field school that focused on North American archaeology.
Familiarity with ArcGIS ArcMap, Survey123, and/or related GPS-based systems.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel (approx. 75-100% of travel required).
Pedestrian survey over uneven terrain during varying weather conditions for at least 10-hour days.
Ability to lift, carry. and/or move up to 35 lbs. for prolonged periods of time.
Office work will consist of frequent periods of time sitting or standing at a desk and using a computer and other office equipment.
Work Environment / Environmental Factors:
Traverse over uneven terrain during varying weather conditions for at least 10-hour days, for consecutive days up to 10 days at a time.
Ability to lift, carry. and/or move up to 35 lbs. for prolonged periods of time.
Work will occur in outdoor rugged terrain and in varying weather conditions.
Open / rugged terrain outdoors regardless of weather conditions.
Additional Information:
Part-time temporary position, no scheduled hours. Hours will vary based on project/client needs.
