Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree International Affairs, International Development, or Conflict Mitigation and 12 years of relevant work experience required.
  • Master’s degree International Affairs, International Development, or Conflict Mitigation and eight years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Experience serving in a technical advisory role and/or field research role as a Senior Technical Advisor, Lead Field Researcher, COP, DCOP, Regional Program Manager, Deputy Country Representative or Office Director with technical responsibilities is required.
  • Knowledge of USAID policies and business practices are required, especially developing various types of grants (in-kind, cash, and simplified) and activities for the direct procurement and delivery of assistance.
  • Strong adaptability, communication, proactive problem-solving, service orientation, and inter-personal skills required.
  • Ability to work effectively and harmoniously under pressure in a stressful environment and with colleagues from different cultural and professional backgrounds required.
  • Sound understanding of the West Bank and Gaza political, social, and economic landscape.
  • Proven track record of institutional relationships at the local and national levels in the West Bank and Gaza.
  • Fluency in Arabic and proficiency in English required.
