Our One Water Group is looking for a successful candidate to join our team leading a variety of resilient infrastructure engineering projects, primarily involving the design of significant wastewater treatment facilities and pump stations in the Northeast US. The position offers the flexibility to work in-office at any of our Tetra Tech locations or a fully remote environment.
Role:
The role has exciting and challenging aspects in expanding our wastewater business practice further. It includes being responsible for leadership in our infrastructure group across 9 states in the Northeast region and collaborating with peers across our 212 US offices.
Responsibilities leading Tetra Tech’s Northeast wastewater group include:
· Oversee the wastewater practice in the Northeast US.
· Design aspects and technical competency of wastewater treatment and pump stations for both new construction, assessment, and rehabilitation/replacement projects.
· Lead wastewater project design teams and perform inter-discipline coordination.
· Lead collaboration on key pursuits and coordination with client managers throughout the Northeast US.
· Meet and correspond with clients while supporting marketing of existing and potential clients and assisting in the preparation of proposals.
· Promote the Tetra Tech brand through professional and community organizations including guiding and directing professional development and papers with staff at select national and state conferences and participating in presentations.
· Collaboration with our Human Resources team and leading recruiting and hiring.
· Managing wastewater emerging markets and innovation.
· Working with colleagues and technical experts across the US to grow Tetra Tech’s municipal wastewater practice footprint within the Northeast market.
Qualifications:
o Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering; Master’s Degree preferred.
o Professional Engineer (PE) License in one of the home office states listed is required and ability to obtain other state PE licenses within one year.
o 10+ years in the municipal engineering sector.
o Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
o Design experience with wastewater treatment and pump station projects.
o Construction administration/management experience as Engineer of Record.
o Experience with process modeling software (BioWin, Sumo), a plus.
o Highly motivated and high-performing team member with the ability to motivate others and lead teams in the preparation of project plans and client pursuits.
Proficient with elements of capital improvement projects process, including engineering, analysis, permitting, development of construction documents (plans and specifications), cost estimating, and construction administration and observation.
