Water Programs Engineering and GIS Manager – Los Alamos, NM

Tech2 Solutions (T2S) is a critical subcontractor on the N3B Los Alamos LLC team and will be providing program management and technical services in support of the ground & surface water monitoring program at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Los Alamos National Laboratory. T2S is adding an experienced Water Programs Engineering and GIS Manager to support the Los Alamos Legacy Cleanup Contract for the U.S. Department of Energy Environmental Management Los Alamos Field Office. The Water Program includes surface water monitoring and corrective actions, groundwater monitoring, and environmental well drilling. Work is conducted across the Los Alamos National Laboratory in Northern New Mexico.
In this position, you will ensure all activities and operations are performed in a safe and deliberate manner; maintain required safety, security, and operational training; assure procedural and regulatory compliance; and make safety and security an integral part of every task, including taking the necessary steps to stop work if it is deemed unsafe or compromises security.

Essential Job Functions:
- Lead engineering team (civil and environmental engineers) and GIS team, including supervisory responsibilities
- Provide support to surface water monitoring, groundwater monitoring, drilling, and environmental remediation project teams, and coordinate with managers to prioritize work
- Act as the primary interface with internal and external clients for engineering support
- Serve as the primary point of contact with client engineering services to ensure projects are performed to appropriate standards and procedures and meet or exceed expectations
- Maintain survey equipment, AutoCAD licenses, and ensure access to ArcGIS Pro
- Support the surface water project manager with definition, planning, cost, and execution of NPDES Individual Permit corrective action projects, including both self-performed and subcontracted construction projects
- Manage timesheet approvals, time-off requests, performance reviews, and training requirements
- Collaborate with the GIS Team Lead regarding team needs and staffing
- Generate job descriptions and postings, manage interviews, and coordinate onboarding for team members
- Ensure team compliance with all policies and procedures
- Regularly report on team deliverable progress
- Perform additional duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to use AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Ability to manage team members’ project work and priorities
- Ability to perform complex tasks with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet established objectives
- Effective communication, mathematical, computer, and reasoning skills required to perform job functions
- Ability to work in a team-oriented project environment
- Familiarity with Los Alamos National Laboratory and work environment preferred
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required
- Career level will be determined based on years of relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
- Must be a U.S Citizen

Compensation:
Pay commensurate with experience.
Pay Range: $135,000-$155,000 annually
