Wastewater Treatment Operator - Pittsfield, MA
Qualifications:
- Graduation from high school or equivalent. An associates and/or bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or environmental engineering is preferred.
- 1 – 3 years of relevant experience.
- Must be a self-starter, detail oriented and mechanically proficient.
- Must have and maintain a Massachusetts Water Treatment Plant license (Class 4 [M or I] certification requirement under Massachusetts Regulation 257 CMR 12.13(2)). Alternatively, an individual without license should be willing to study for and take the exam to become an operator in-training (OIT). Training will be provided as needed.
- Possess a Massachusetts hoisting license or the ability to get one to operate the fork truck (training to be provided as needed)
- Possess good communication skills as daily communication with the project team regarding client schedules, system operation issues, site security issues and general site health and safety are paramount to the success of the project.
- Must be medically qualified to wear a respirator and obtain a satisfactory fit test.
- A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
