Job Summary

A Warehouse Helper supports daily warehouse operations by assisting with receiving, storing, and distributing goods. This role ensures inventory is handled efficiently, safely, and accurately to support overall supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks, containers, and delivery vehicles.
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against invoices or orders.
  • Organize and store products in designated warehouse locations.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe (sweeping, waste disposal, etc.).
  • Operate basic warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) as needed.
  • Perform minor equipment checks and report maintenance issues.
  • Label and tag items correctly.
  • Follow all company safety regulations and procedures.
  • Support inventory counts and audits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors .
     

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Basic communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
  • Mechanical aptitude (ability to understand and work with basic machinery, tools, and equipment).
  • Ability to use hand tools and operate warehouse equipment safely.
  • Basic math and counting skills for inventory handling.
  • Physical stamina to lift, carry, and move heavy items (often up to 25–50 lbs).
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • No formal education required; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous warehouse or logistics experience.
  • Familiarity with inventory systems or scanning devices.
  • Forklift certification (a plus, but not always required).

 

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a warehouse environment.
  • May involve standing, bending, lifting, and walking for long periods.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures depending on facility conditions.
  • May require overtime, weekends, or shift work.
