Utility Services Manager - Indonesia

 Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering/technical or similar discipline with demonstrated subject matter of expertise.
• 5 years of proven project management and consulting experience for multi-disciplinary project assignments for utility performance improvement and renewable energy projects.
• Proven abilities and experience with business development, managing technical professionals with diverse expertise, and client relationship management.
• Proven experience in managing multi-disciplinary team activities and strong client relationship and management skills.
• Proficient in project proposal and business development leadership skills.
• Ability to bring positive personal energy and intensity as well as the ability to energize others to achieve continued growth of Renewable Energy Integration services for utility.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously at various stages of development and could travel to the site project/remote area.
• 1 year of experience in integration of renewable energy systems and distribution interconnections as well as related multi-jurisdictional project reviews.
• 1 year of experience with regional PLN, regulated utilities, and commercial project developers.
• 1 year of experience in a) reviewing internal electric utility performance metrics, comparing results to external metrics to gauge success or failure levels, b) overseeing progress made by electric utilities toward specific short-term or long-term targets, c) tracking progress related to financial, quality, efficiency, productivity, or performance-related goals of electric utility, d) helping electric utilities recognize any shortcomings, flaws, or obstacles in their daily processes or operations, e) prioritizing projects or improvements based on financial or time investments, f) Overseeing efficiency when providing utility services to the client and/or community, g) understanding the effectiveness of certain aspects of the utility business, such as marketing, advertising, labor, and communications, h) monitoring how external influences impact daily and long-term electric utility operations, such as new technologies, COVID-related shifts in demand, and environment-focused regulations,  i) helping utility companies understand what is happening within the organization, preventing any unnecessary generalizations, and j) helping utilities to proactively plan for changes that may impact how they operate, such as national laws/regulations.
• 1 year of experience in guiding and mentoring junior professionals to assist development of their technical and client relationship capabilities.
• Proven abilities to represent company at networking events to build brand in this market area. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Indonesian national or current resident of Indonesia.
• Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English (reading, writing, and oral presentation).
• Proven track record of assistance in assessment of electric utility KPIs, electric utility planning, power purchase agreements, construction, and commissioning.
• Familiarity with current Indonesian government regulations and incentives in renewable energy, advanced energy systems, and utility planning, procurement, and operations.
• Existing working relations with MEMR, PLN, relevant Government of Indonesia institutions, provincial governments, and PLN officials, project developers, banks/financial institutions, and research and development and industry organizations.
• Familiarity with USAID procedures and practices for quality control, including monitoring.
• Understanding the technical and regulatory aspects of siting, permitting, and constructing a variety of renewable energy generating, storage technologies and utility’s KPIs.
