Tetra Tech is currently seeking Civil Engineering applicants for multiple summer intern positions within our Texas Transportation group. Candidates should be highly motivated individuals with an interest in transportation/infrastructure construction and/or design.
Your Role:
- Design of highway, arterial and local roadway improvements.
- Design of public infrastructure components such as drainage and water/wastewater systems.
- Performs a variety of engineering tasks, including development of roadway geometry, signing, pavement marking, drainage and maintenance of traffic plans
- Perform 3D Modeling using ORD and civil 3D design software
- Prepare estimated quantity calculations and cost estimates
- Preparation of engineering documents, plans, and specifications for contractors to build from.
- Assist in the development of project design and construction schedules
- Perform site visits to support the field engineering and design process
- Prepare design alternative evaluation studies and technical reports.
- Participation in public involvement, public meetings, networking and client interface.
Qualifications:
- Student enrolled in Bachelor's Degree program in Civil Engineering or a related field. Junior or Senior level preferred.
- Familiarity in Microstation or Open Roads Designer (ORD) and/or Autocadd and Civil 3D is a plus. Microsoft Office Suite
