QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  Included in this section are education, experience, skills (including computer skills), licenses, certificates, and registrations.

The personnel shall have the following minimum level of subject matter expertise:

  • Knowledge of Air Force Instructions (AFI) and other guidance documents and federal environmental regulations relevant to hazardous materials management, especially AFI 32-7086 Hazardous Materials Management.
  • Working knowledge of Air Force Waste Tracking Systems and other Air Force hazardous material management mission support systems and reporting software, specifically, EESOH-MIS.
  • Working knowledge of hazardous materials management, and Occupations Safety Health Administration Hazard Communication Standard found in 29 CFR 1910.

Training would be available for staff unfamiliar with some of these requirements.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or better. 1-3 years of experience preferred in performing similar work.

 

OTHER SKILLS:

Employee must be fluent in word, excel, and data management systems.
