Technical Experts for USAID Biodiversity Activity in Timor-Leste
Tetra Tech International Development is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for various potential positions on an upcoming USAID-funded activity in Timor-Leste.
Position Description/Summary:
The Activity seeks to strengthen biodiversity conservation efforts in Timor-Leste in the coastal and marine environment, support local communities to be more resilient to climate impacts, and inclusively and sustainably ensure the sustainable use of coastal and marine resources in economic development.
These potential short-term positions will be based in Timor-Leste. For all positions working knowledge of English, experience working in multi-disciplinary teams, knowledge of MS Office applications, and commitment to gender equity and social inclusion are required.
* Marine Fisheries Expert
* Marine Conservation and Policy Expert
* Climate Change Adaptation Expert
* Community Engagement and Capacity Building Expert
* Government Engagement and Capacity Building Expert
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
* Minimum bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline is required;
* Minimum seven (7) years of experience in Timor-Leste in the respective field of technical expertise;
* Experience on USAID or other donor-funded projects preferred but not required;
* Professional proficiency in English is required; and
* Timor-Leste nationals and especially women are strongly encouraged to apply.
