Technical Editor
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, marketing, communications, or similar, or 5-plus years of work experience in a similar role
• 5-7 years of experience in an editorial production environment preferred
• Excellent understanding of English grammar, editorial style guides, communications best practices, production workflow processes, and organizational tools
• Excellent understanding of the basic principles of page layout and design and ability to integrate maps, graphics, text, and other elements into visually appealing layouts while adhering to client requirements and branding guidelines
• Exceptional working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, and working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to build functional templates for self and team members in a variety of software
• Experience making infographics and other graphic data interpretation
• Excellent multitasking ability
• Flexibility and willingness to learn
This position requires the candidate to be a U.S. Citizen due to the projects they will be working on.

Work Environment

• Standard office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., but the schedule is flexible within reason.
• A hybrid schedule with two days in the office in Colorado Springs and the rest of the week working from home or a fully remote schedule.
Language and Communication Skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for preparing and presenting planning reports and projects.
• Advanced English language skills, written and verbal, including technical writing/editing experience and a demonstrated ability to write, edit, and deliver planning content.
Colorado Wage: $50,000-$65,000. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including, but not limited to geographic location, qualifications, licensures, certifications, experience, and other skills relevant to the needs of the business.
