Systems Engineer/Integrator
Tetra Tech AMT is looking for a Systems Engineer/Integrator to provide technical support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to conduct Enterprise System Safety and Enterprise Information Systems Security (EISS) activities and initiatives which includes the associated system engineering analysis and products.
Primary job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Support the ANG-B aspects for ATO policy support (development and revision of ATO policy documents)
- Provide expertise required to assist in the development of FAA policy, guidance, and standards for enterprise security solutions for NAS systems and NextGen organization
- Conduct data analysis of relevant safety databases in support of NEXTGEN safety analyses and SRM Panels
- Support SRM Panel activities associated with NEXTGEN operational improvements or related safety analyses, including facilitation, document development, and SRM process consultation
- Support participation and provide leadership as Subject Matter Experts (SME) in ATO working groups
- Support the development and review of NAS System safety analyses and research
- Support development of the Integrated NextGen Safety policy and process
- Support development of NAS service-level safety requirements (NAS Requirements Document)
- Support development of Hazard Enterprise Assessment Tool (HEAT)
- Support development of System Engineering artifacts including Concept-of-Operation, Functional Analysis, Requirement Document, White Paper, Test Plan, and Presentations
- Conduct comprehensive system-wide review and analysis of all aspects of the National Airspace System (NAS) development life cycle, particularly the Air Traffic Control (ATC) system, including ATC automation, communications, and navigation and surveillance elements of the NAS
- Provides expertise in the transition of legacy systems to modernized systems
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, electrical, electronic, chemical, industrial, mechanical, aeronautical, systems or computer) or Physical Sciences (e.g., mathematics, physics)
- 10-15 years of relevant experience
- Aviation experience
- FAA experience
Aviation Safety background
Salary: $150,000 to $160,000 annually. Compensation is based on relevant experience and qualifications.
