We are in search of a highly motivated Summer Intern to join our family of engineers, economists, and scientists who has strong quantitative and qualitative skillset to support municipal, state, and federal projects and opportunities. The ideal candidate will support routine and non-routine assignments related to water resources market and grant research, economic data research and minor analytics, finance and contracts research and organization. In this position you will have the opportunity to apply your academic knowledge to real-world issues and opportunities, while learning the skills needed to be a successful consultant. 

Your Role:

  • Eight-week summer program (within May to August timeframe), 20-24 hours per week at our Seattle office location
  • Work with planning, finance and engineering teams to conduct research, perform data analytics and visualization
  • Perform economic data research and analysis
  • Conduct water resource related project management support
  • Organize and research finance data and contracts
  • Other research and administrative duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated educational and relevant work experience showing strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
  • Working toward a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or similar major or minor
  • Experience conducting research, analyzing data, preparing written analysis
  • Previous intern experience with a professional organization (public/private/non-profit) is preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Interest in water resource related topics (river and marine) a plus

The typical intern pay rate is $23 per hour. Additional education or experience may be considered.
