SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- A minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a structural designer
- Experience in oil and gas, heavy industrial, infrastructure or transportation sectors considered an asset
- Must have experience with industrial concrete and steel design and detailing
- Strong interpersonal skills required for internal team interfaces and client liaison
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Highly organized and resourceful with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to effectively plan time and prioritize on multiple concurrent projects
- Able to work with flexibility while maintaining high standards and quality work
SOFTWARE AND SYSTEMS:
- AutoCAD 2D and 3D required
- CADWorx, ProSteel, SmartPlant or MicroStation considered an asset
- Autodesk Civil 3D or InRoads considered an asset
- Navisworks experience considered an asset
EDUCATION:
- Certificate or diploma in architectural or civil/structural technology, CADD, BIM, or building science based programs with 3D modelling training
- CTech, AScT or ASET considered an asset
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Travel within Western Canada periodically to client sites may be required
- Must be able to pass a drug/alcohol screen
- Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada
