Staff Biologist - Midland, TX
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in biology, environmental science, or a related field is required. M.S. in conservation biology or environmental planning is a plus.
- 1-5 years of construction permitting or regulatory experience is preferred.
- SafeLand (or related equivalent), 40-hour OSHA – HAZWOPER, H2S awareness, and similar training is preferred.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry is plus.
- Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations (TX/NM).
- Must have demonstrated ability in data collection, analysis, and technical writing.
- Candidate must also have the ability to manage multiple project tasks simultaneously.
- Candidate must be highly motivated, customers focused, and work well in a team environment.
- Must possess personal interaction, communications and organizational skills as well as knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, etc.
- Some heavy lifting required, and the ability to walk and stand for extended periods is essential.
- Work will be split between the Midland, TX office and field (no relocation costs will be provided).
- Field work will primarily be in west Texas and southeast New Mexico; some overnight travel will be required.
- A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
