Sr. Landfill Gas Technician 1 East Brunswick, NJ

Qualifications

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Should have a minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in environmental services, or equivalent.
• Manage preparation for field services, field documentation, and field measurements, and work with other technicians to complete assignments.
• Work at landfills, hazardous waste sites, contaminated sites, and/or other sites where heavy equipment, contamination, or other health hazards may exist.
• Must obtain/maintain 40-hr OSHA HAZWOPER certification per company policy and job duties.  Must have a valid driver’s license.  Additional training preferred in HM 126F DOT Non-Bulk Hazardous Materials, International Air Transport Association Dangerous Goods, and Competent Person Awareness Trench and Excavation (29 CFR 1926.650)
• Plan and prepare for various work assignments, maintain field and test equipment, document field services and perform field monitoring and analyses in accordance with established protocols.
• Perform field work including but not limited to collection of samples and data.
• Operate field equipment and construction equipment.
• Implement safe work practices on field assignments.
• Train and support new staff in company policy and practices.
• Ability to travel requiring overnight stays
