Position Summary:
Tetra Tech is seeking a Social Scientist to join our Madison, WI office. We provide research design, data collection, and analytic services that enable our clients to make business-critical decisions using high-quality data. This position will support process evaluations of clean energy programs through qualitative and quantitative analysis, technology and energy market research, and written and oral reports.
Your Role:
- Collaborate on interdisciplinary teams
- Provide input and participate in project meetings
- Conduct research tasks in support of broad portfolio of study types
- Maintain study documentation
- Review own work for overall accuracy, timeliness, completeness
- Deliver accurate results and useful recommendations based on the analysis of data
- Present results via written reports, oral presentations, and reporting dashboards
- Work towards proficiency in use of modern analytical tools (e.g., Python, PowerBI, Excel)
- Embrace continuous learning
Qualifications:
- MS/BS degree in social science discipline with some research experience
- Two or more years of experience working with data
- Understanding of data collection methods
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Direct program evaluation experience a plus
- Direct energy sector experience a plus
Starting Annual Salary:
- $65,000 to $95,000
Line management responsibility:
- None
Physical Demands & Work environment:
- Hybrid office environment (3 days in-office/2 days remote)
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer monitor, computer mouse, calculator, and computer printer
- Able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
