Site Safety and Security Assessor
The Required Qualifications for the Site Safety and Security Assessor position are:
- Must be available to work in the State of Iowa for up to 18 months.
- Possess own reliable transportation and smartphone, available for all-day use.
- Have a valid driver's license.
- Have proof of auto insurance.
- Have good driving record. To be considered for this position, your driving record must not indicate any of the following during the past 3 years:
- Punitive suspension, denial, or revocation of driver's license.
- Conviction for impaired or intoxicated driving (DWAI, DUI, DWI).
- Conviction of reckless driving, driving with a suspended/denied/revoked license, hit and run or leaving the scene.
- Conviction of 3 or more moving violations, at-fault accidents, or a combination.
- Possess the ability to conduct interior and exterior site assessments of large school campuses including multi-structure sites.
- Possess at least 5 years of relevant experience in law enforcement, homeland security, crime analytics, or another related field.
- Possess (or obtain within 10 business days of start date) certification in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), Physical Site Professional, or another related site security certification.
- Possess (or obtain within 10 business days of start date) certification in Incident Command System and National Incident Management System (ICS-100, ICS-200, IS-700, and IS-800).
- Possess (or obtain within 10 business days of start date) certification in IS-360 : Preparing for Mass Casualty Incidents: A Guide for Schools, Higher Education, and Houses of Worship.
- Maintain awareness of current tactical response operations for active threats through professional development and training.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, both internally and externally.
- Possess excellent customer service skills.
- Possess excellent organizational skills.
- Possess the ability to receive constructive feedback and implement recommendations provided by team leaders.
- Possess the ability to anticipate issues and make sound decisions to adjust accordingly.
- Possess the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Environmental Conditions and Requirements
- Office and field work environments.
- Travel in a vehicle for up to 4 continuous hours of drive time including driving at night.
- Outdoor work for up to 4 hours in varying weather conditions.
- Exterior site assessments on uneven terrain around large facility perimeters.
