Senior Technical Expert (Energy Efficiency) Specialist for the SURE Project

Minimum qualifications

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree (master’s degree preferred) engineering, economics or related field
• At least 8 years of recent experience working in the energy sector, including in the electricity sector and at least 5 years in Egypt
• Profound experience with and understanding of identifying, analyzing and implementing energy efficiency measures in the electricity sector
• Experience designing and implementing work plans for energy projects, including managing teams, carrying out field work, producing written deliverables, and managing stakeholders
• Technical knowledge about Egypt’s electricity systems and command of Egypt’s electricity legal and regulatory framework
• Prior working relationships with Egypt’s main government energy institutions and private sector energy companies
• Strong project management and coordination skills
• Fluent in oral and written English communication.

Valued qualifications

• Fluent in Arabic communication
• Familiarity of similar donor programs
• Experience communicating technical content to a broad audience
