Senior Technical Advisor - Kenya
Essential KSAs required (experience, skills, education, certification, etc.):
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, law, engineering, economics, finance, policy, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- 10 years of experience implementing energy programs in Africa for a variety of clients including MDBs and donors
- Demonstrated familiarity, and prior experience addressing energy sector challenges in Eastern and Central Africa
- Deep experience across the energy value chain, to including energy sector reform, utility performance, clean energy investment and power project development
- Strong executive presence with an ability to build trusted relationships with partners, customers, lenders, service providers and investors.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Valued but not required KSAs:
- Experience with cross-border power trade, and power pools
- Experience designing and implementing programs that promote gender equality and women’s empowerment in the energy sector
- French language skills
