Senior Systems Engineer
Tetra Tech AMT is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer
Primary job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provide technical and programmatic support to the FAA’s Navigation Programs
- Apply standards knowledge in the analysis, specification, development, integration, and acquisition of systems for navigation services
- Analyze and develop requirements for navigation systems including Visual Lighting and Guidance systems and ensure these systems are compliant with FAA standards
- Evaluates and recommends process for configuration management, safety, reliability, maintainability, integrity to improve navigation services
- Perform requirements management including decomposition, tracing and verification methods.
- Plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of the engineering principles and processes or scientific work in a project or performs work which involves conventional engineering or scientific practice
- Support development of technical requirements in support of Statement of Work and other procurement related documents to support new Visual Guidance and Lighting acquisitions
- Generation of technical report, white papers, presentations and other documents as required
- Apply software, hardware, and standards knowledge in the analysis, specification, development, integration, and acquisition of systems for Visual Lighting and Guidance
- Support the development of a budget and resource analysis
- Develop and maintain integrated program and project schedules
- Prepare briefing materials for Program Management Reviews (PMRs), Monthly Program Updates, Group
- Reviews, and managers status meetings
- Be comfortable communicating with clients
- Work well within a team environment and have excellent collaborative skills
- Facilitate meeting resources to support integration among systems and teams
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Task Order Lead
The successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in system engineering in the aerospace industry, two years of which must include specialized navigation experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related discipline
- Master’s degree in a principle or related discipline may substitute for 2 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience with FAA Visual Lighting and Guidance Systems
Salary: $165,000 annually. Compensation is based on relevant experience and qualifications.
