The successful candidate will have:

A minimum of 10 years’ experience in system engineering in the aerospace industry. Two years of which must include specialized navigation experience

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related discipline. Master’s degree in a principle or related discipline may substitute for 2 years of relevant experience.

Experience and familiarity with Ground Based Navigation Aids, Approach Lighting and Global Navigation Satellite systems

Strong experience with the FAA’s NAS Enterprise Architecture

Experience with detailed phases of the systems engineering principles and processes or scientific work in a project or performs work which involves conventional engineering or scientific practice. The work may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements and difficult coordination requirements

Demonstrated experience with a well-defined Requirements Management Process and requirements traceability

Demonstrated knowledge of the FAA’s Acquisition Management System and Procurement Process

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong data analytic skills

Must work well within a team environment and have excellent collaborative skills

Flexibility with working in a dynamic fast-paced environment

PMP Certification preferred
