Senior Project Operations & Events Associate Specialist - Egypt

Through the Scaling Up Renewable Energy (SURE) program, USAID and Tetra Tech help partner countries power economies, meet international climate commitments, and strengthen energy security via private investment in, and competitive procurement of, clean electricity. USAID is supporting the Government of Egypt in the Nexus for Water, Food, and Energy (NWFE) Energy Pillar (N-EP). The one-to-two-year Bridge Support for the USAID Energy Activity will advance technical assistance needs in areas identified in the USAID energy assessment, build relationships in the energy sector and pilot first technical assistance activities. Activities could range from advancing grid modernization and flexibility for the integration of renewable energy (RE) and other advanced technologies, support the development of open, transparent, procurement of renewable energy and markets, advance planning for the adoption of RE and advanced energy technologies to support the deployment of demand-side solutions and distributed energy resources.
We are seeking for an experienced Egypt-based Senior Project Operations & Events Specialist to support the implementation of this new USAID activity. Tetra Tech values a diverse workplace and strives to achieve gender equality.
The Senior Project Operations & Events Associate Specialist will:
- Produce detailed project start-up and close-out reports, including manuals and operational guidelines.
- Timely submission of contractual deliverables and tracking logs.
- Produce regular financial reports, including project budgets, cost analyses, and financial tracking tools.
- Draft meeting minutes, agendas, and action item trackers for project meetings.
- Approved procurement documents and subcontractor contracts, including supporting documentation for client approval.
- Draft solicitation documents, market research and competitor analysis reports, evaluation memos, and contract requisition forms.
- Arrange travel and logistical coordination for project events and workshops.
- Create communication materials for local stakeholders and USAID representatives, as needed.
- Process improvement recommendations and updated project policies or procedures.
Minimum Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in international development/studies, business administration, communications, political/social sciences or another related field.
- 5 years of relevant project management and/or operations experience on USAID, MCC, or other multilateral donor projects.
- Strong communications skills with the ability to effectively convey complex information for both in writing and verbally.
- Analytical and problem-solving skill with proficiency in research using both primary and secondary sources.
- Strong organizational, teamwork, and technical skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing accurate and timely work.
- Exceptional listening skills and commitment to customer service.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal.
Preferred but Not Required Qualifications
- Experience with energy projects and the energy sector in Egypt.
- Familiarity with USAID rules and regulations regarding travel, allowances, and procurement.
