Summary:

 

Tetra Tech, an industry leader and nationally recognized engineering and consulting firm, is seeking a professional, motivated, and intelligent Sr. Project Manager for our Huntsville, AL office location. The position involves business development and project execution with emphasis on client development in the boundaries of the United States Army Corps of Engineers South Atlantic Division and with the Huntsville District. The position will include working with an Environmental and Asset Management Team located across the United States that is focused on developing sustainable solutions for Department of Defense clients. The ideal candidate would have relationships with the USACE Huntsville District and significant experience supporting DoD clients within the USACE South Atlantic Division develop and execute environmental management (NEPA, Pollution Prevention), environmental compliance (air quality, wastewater, drinking water, storm water, solid waste, hazardous materials/waste), and asset management (vertical and linear) projects. Experience and knowledge space and missile launch programs is also preferred.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead - Develop a core team of individuals with appropriate skills to help enhance Tetra Tech’s portfolio of clients in the Huntsville area
  • Collaborate - Build strategic relationships focused on expanding Tetra Tech’s market share with the Huntsville USACE District
  • Be well rounded - This position requires both technical and business development skills. You may work on project teams, manage projects, lead or support proposals, develop capture strategies, and so on
  • Manage - Truly understand project scope requirements, manage resources, and successfully execute assigned projects
  • Be Accountable - Accept personal responsibility for achieving project and business development milestones. Be creative in developing your own path to achieve personal success 


Requirements & Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in engineering, science or a related technical field is required. Advanced degree is preferred
  • Professional registration, i.e. Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG) is preferred. PMP Certification a plus
  • 10+ years of federal project management and business development experience is required.
  • A working knowledge of RCRA, 40 CFR 112, CAA, CWA, NEPA, etc. is required.
  • Experience with military environmental and asset management programs is required.
  • Experience working on Department of Defense contracts is required
  • Recent, relevant experience working with the USACE Huntsville District is highly desired
  • Having relationships with DoD installations in the USACE South Atlantic Division and with USACE Huntsville District staff is required.
  • Experience supporting or leading task order or contract proposals and/or SF330s is preferred.
  • This position requires driving on a regular basis. A successful evaluation of a Motor Vehicle Record report is required.
