We’re looking for a Senior Project Controller to join our team in Seattle and/or Bellevue offices, Washington.

Your Role:

As an experienced Project Controller, you will step in quickly to lead and execute the following:

 

Project Controls/Deputy Project Management

  • Project scheduling and critical path network analysis
  • Workplan development, progress tracking, and monitoring for financial impacts of deviations from workplan
  • Earned value analysis
  • Quality assurance/quality control documentation
  • Scope change administration
  • Risk management (register) profiling and tracking

 

Proposal and Project Delivery

  • Contract review – assist in documenting the contract review process, ensuring that company review procedures are consistently followed
  • Proposals – assist in proposal preparation and project management approach write-ups, ensuring corporate financial review procedures are followed and cost modelling is properly executed
  • Project/proposal initiation – prepare forms, coordinate management review and Maxx setup by finance team
  • Subcontracting – work closely with subcontractors for oversight and management of scope, schedule, and cost manage subcontract preparation, invoice review, insurance certificates, and administer compliance with health and safety prequalification process
  • Project invoicing and collections – ensure all costs are invoiced in a timely manner and consistent with contract terms, interface with corporate billers, communicate with clients as needed for collections
  • Provide project specific input to quarterly backlog analysis, load-levelling and utilization forecasting
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Team Communication

  • Maintains positive working relationships and open lines of communication with Project Managers, Office/Ops Managers, Finance team, technical and administrative staff
  • Regularly attend project review meetings, communicate project specific action items, schedule/budget concerns, subcontracting actions, financial red flags, deviations from workplan, etc.

 

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience exceeding expectations in all aspects of project controls and other tasks and deliverables for A/E projects
  • Ability to be fully engaged from initial project set-up to project completion
  • Experience in working closely with project managers and operational leadership to organize and execute a project management plan, including a work breakdown structure, chart of accounts, cost analysis, cash flow, detailed project schedule (with maintenance protocol), risk register, client progress report protocol, and change management procedures
  • Significant experience in all aspects of change management and client facing communications for justification
  • Experience with project closeouts and data management/archives
  • Effective communication, mentoring and supervisory skills of project administration staff
  • Communicates effectively with appropriate software tools project progress and deviations in scope, schedule, and cost
  • Willingness to travel locally to regional offices to attend meetings or facilitate/attend training. 
  • Experience with Project Wise a plus
  • Project management certification a plus

The salary range for this position is approximately $150,000 - 200,000 depending on education, qualifications, experience and work location.
