Tetra Tech’s High Performance Buildings Division is actively seeking a Senior Project Architect to contribute to our architecture and engineering projects and services. The qualified applicant will support Tetra Tech’s global High Performance Building Group’s market, relating to facility design projects locally and occasionally worldwide. The Senior Project Architect will experience a unique opportunity to be involved with projects located in various areas of the world and work with a team of in-house experts in all disciplines. Our dynamic work environment requires to incorporate design and construction solutions to adapt to unique project specific challenges.
Additional Locations: Virginia Beach, VA / Cincinnati, OH / Detroit, MI / Louisville, KY / Will consider other locations as well.
Your contributions will include:
- Lead the design, development, budgeting and coordination on an architectural and multi-discipline design team for commercial and federal projects.
- Oversee code compliance with applicable project codes, standards, and guidelines.
- Meet with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop and execute project needs and requirements.
- Lead project design and quality control through all phases, from concept through completion.
- Develop design and technical details for all aspects of construction documentation.
- Act in a mentorship capacity to other architects in the development of their architectural design skills.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
- 15+ years of experience as a practicing Project Architect.
- Experience working on Federal projects governed by Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) standards.
- Functional knowledge of International Building Codes and Regulations.
- Proficiency with architectural design and visualization software including REVIT, SketchUp, Lumion, and SpecsIntact.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client offices and project sites.
- Ability to travel 10%.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Architecture.
- LEED AP and GPCP architectural certifications are a plus.
- Registered Architect license.
This role can be performed from a wide range of locations throughout the US. The pay range for this position is between $95,000 - $120,000; however, base pay offered may vary depending on primary work location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and internal parity.
