About the role 
 

Based in Sydney, Perth or Melbourne this role is a key part of our established WHS team and offers the opportunity to contribute to a nationally recognised workplace health and safety consultancy. 
 

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Hygienist at Senior or Principal level to provide technical leadership across a diverse range of industries and projects. This role will suit someone who enjoys solving complex occupational health challenges, developing robust monitoring and assessment programs, mentoring emerging professionals, and building strong client relationships. 
 

You will play a leading role in delivering high-quality occupational hygiene services while helping to shape the growth and direction of our occupational hygiene capability in NSW and nationally. 
 

Our work spans mining, energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, construction, utilities and government sectors, providing exposure to a broad range of occupational health risks and environments. 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead occupational hygiene monitoring, exposure assessment and risk assessment programs across a range of workplace hazards. 

• Develop practical occupational health risk management solutions and provide specialist technical advice to clients. 

• Prepare and review technical reports, exposure assessments and deliverables, ensuring a high standard of quality. 

• Manage projects, budgets, schedules and client relationships. 

• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and development support to junior consultants and hygienists. 

• Identify and pursue business development opportunities and contribute to the growth of the occupational hygiene service line. 

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex projects and client outcomes. 

About you 

You are a highly capable occupational hygienist with strong technical expertise and commercial awareness. You enjoy combining technical problem solving with client relationship management and leadership responsibilities. 

What You’ll Bring 
 

• Extensive occupational hygiene experience, ideally within a consulting environment. 

• Demonstrated expertise in exposure assessment, health risk assessment, workplace monitoring and control verification. 

• Strong understanding of relevant legislation, standards, guidance material and industry best practice within NSW and Australia. 

• Experience developing and implementing comprehensive monitoring strategies and occupational health programs. 

• Strong project management skills, including managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously. 

• Proven ability to build trusted client relationships and identify new opportunities. 

• Experience mentoring, coaching and developing junior consultants. 

• Excellent report writing and communication skills. 

• A Master's in Occupational Hygiene and AIOH Full Membership is highly regarded, as is your progress towards becoming a Certified Occupational Hygienist (COH).
