Senior Electrical Substation Design Engineer (T&D) - Denver
Requirements:
- University degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Over 7 years of working experience in Electrical Engineering.
- Possess a PE or FE license and be experienced in taking responsibility and signing design deliverables.
- Possess experience in working on projects with utilities providing services in transmission and distribution.
- Possess experience in the study, technical knowledge, and design expertise of electrical distribution systems for a broad range of industries, with a heavy emphasis on utility substations.
- Possess knowledge in the design of medium and high voltage power distribution and transmission, including load flow, short circuit, lightning protection, grounding studies, transformer sizing and cable sizing.
- Possess experience in preparing layouts, elevation views, installation details, grounding, lighting, cable trays and conduit layout drawings as required.
- Possess exceptional communication skills (client relations, team project communications, and proposal and report development).
- The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing technical specification for electrical equipment, evaluation of proposals, and will be able to review vendor drawings.
- The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the design of renewable energy facilities such as solar and wind farms.
- The ideal candidate will have experience conducting projects using a 3D design software such as AutoCAD 3D, Inventor or Primtech.
