Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is adding a Senior Electrical Engineer to our Electrical Team based in Los Angeles or surrounding areas. This hybrid role offers a blend of remote work and in-office collaboration, with occasional in-person meetings to support seamless team integration.

Your Impact:

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will take on a key leadership role, guiding the electrical discipline within the office while mentoring a high-performing engineering team. You will drive technical excellence, project success, and team development across various sectors, including healthcare, education, and commercial buildings. Your ability to ensure quality control, optimize project execution, and enhance technical standards will have a lasting impact on our team and clients.

 

Your Role:

• Provide strategic leadership for the electrical discipline within the office.
• Mentor and develop department staff, fostering career growth through structured development plans.
• Ensure adherence to firm QA/QC protocols, maintaining technical excellence.
• Collaborate with Project Managers on budgeting, scheduling, and staff management.
• Oversee, plan, and design electrical systems for projects in healthcare, education, and commercial buildings.
• Act as the Engineer of Record, leading technical communication with clients.
• Support implementation and continuous improvement of Tetra Tech’s technical standards.
• Track training opportunities and recommend professional development programs.
• Provide technical reviews of MEP systems designed by other teams, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Interface with code officials, contractors, architects, and other key stakeholders.
• Guide engineers on OHSPD (HCAI) compliance for healthcare projects.
• Serve as a technical advisor for any claims or challenges within the region.

 

Qualifications:

• 15+ years of experience as an MEP Engineer in infrastructure and/or building systems.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
• Knowledge of OHSPD (HCAI).
• Experience mentoring and training young engineers, ensuring quality control.
• Significant experience in sustainable design is strongly desired.
• Proficiency in REVIT is required.
• LEED AP BD+C accreditation is a plus.
• WELL certification is a plus.

 

Work Environment & Location:

This position offers a hybrid-remote work environment, requiring candidates to be located in Los Angeles or surrounding areas to attend occasional in-person meetings for collaboration and project execution.

Salary Range: $175,000 - $200,000 

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the proposed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, actual role and responsibilities. The range listed is just one component of Glumac’s total compensation package for employees.
