Senior Design Engineer/Technologist

Qualifications:

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or civil engineering technology

• Minimum of 10+ years related experience in highway geometric design on transportation projects and experience carrying out rural or municipal roadway designs, Alberta specific experience (e.g. Alberta Transportation, City of Edmonton, City of St. Albert, etc.) would be an asset.

• Must be registered or be eligible for registration for P.Eng. or P.Tech.(Eng.) with APEGA

• Design-Build and P3 Design experience is considered an asset

• Proven experience with TAC and Provincial Geometric Design Standards and Guidelines

• Proven experience with Autodesk Civil 3D design software

• Proven capabilities in writing reports and other technical documents

• Working experience with bridge design and construction is considered an asset

• Possess a strong ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and clients

• Demonstrated experience/aptitude for meeting timelines and budgets, proposal writing, client development, and other skills appropriate for engineering consulting

• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)

Additional Information

A requirement of working for Tetra Tech is that you are at least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada. (A copy of a valid work permit may be required.)

To meet the physical demands required of some positions, candidates must be in good physical condition and willing to work in all weather conditions. Clearance on pre-placement medical and drug and alcohol testing may be required.

All qualified candidates will be considered for the role and will be eligible for relocation allowance if selected (and are located outside of Alberta).
