Senior COI (Conflict Of Interest) and Social Value Co-ordinator - Flexible Location

Purpose & Scope of the Role

As we build on our demonstrable track record as one of the leading global consultancies, we are seeking a Conflict of Interest (COI) & Social Value Support Consultant to join our UK-based team.  The person taking on this role will work with other members of the global business to assist our UK consultants deliver a diverse project portfolio and across multiple frameworks whilst providing clients and our senior leadership teams with the management and reporting information required.    

It is important that we take a consistent overarching view on all projects which we are considering delivering on behalf of our clients to ensure that we mitigate any existing or potential future COI across the business.  Training into what could constitute COI will be provided and the coordinator role is supported by automated software alerts where COI could be an issue. In addition to this, we are keen to ensure that Social Value pervades everything we do, aligned with our client and project requirements.  The role requires taking responsibility to ensure our Social Value platform (Thrive) is correctly updated with client requirements, monitored and reported on with delivered activity to meet our contracted commitments.

Your Impact in this position

You will have complete oversight of all potential client projects and operational teams across all group companies in the UK and Ireland.  Your role will ensure that any potential COI will be spotted and acted upon efficiently to avoid additional costs within our delivery teams.  Most public sector contracts require us to make specific Social Value commitments in proportion and relevant to project we undertake.  Your role will make sure that such commitments are correctly identified in the Thrive platform, monitored, updated and reported on the keep contract compliance

You will be in a team of one, reporting to the Director with overall responsibility for both functions.  As such, the teamwork element will be working across all operational teams but not actually part of them.  You will need to consistently demonstrate the ability to work independently, flexing workload according to priority, directing efficient progress according to needs which meet company expectations.  This is a unique and established role.  There may also be occasional requests (subject to workload) to help produce reports or follow up tasks not directly within the current scope of work listed here.

Computer literate

Know your way around Microsoft platforms including Teams, Excel, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc, and also have the desire and tenacity to learn new software applications which are specific to the company and your role.

Communicative and collegiate

Working across professional technical teams, verbal, written and online communication is very important to ensure work is done efficiently and effectively.  It is therefore imperative that communication is of the highest professional standard and equally adapted to individuals as required which ensures that business requirements are met.

Project Delivery & Development

There will always be an expectation that project and reporting timescales are met or exceeded, with early escalation through line management if support is required and further issues identified.  We are always open to innovative ideas which could better expedite actions for a more positive outcome and every employee is encouraged and empowered to consider and discuss alternative ideas.

These personal traits are far more important than any single qualification or evidenced capability.  Sometimes the working environment can be pressured in our delivery teams as we strive to deliver and exceed project outcomes to cost and budget.  Intuition to such circumstances and an adaptive style will be encouraged.

 Skills, Qualifications & Experience

There are no specific technical qualifications required for the role, but there is an expectation that you can demonstrate capability and previous experience examples which address core capability requirements including self-motivation, IT literacy and a desire to become recognised within the company as the COI and Social Value expert in your field.

Working Environment

This role is suitable for being home based but with at least one monthly visit working from the nearest office location.  Working can be deemed as ‘anytime and anyplace', but only where it can demonstrate to meet the timeframe requirements according to company needs.  Projects are UK-wide, so occasional travel and flexibility in working hours may be required.
