Summary:
Duties for the CADD Designer position include preparation of designs for environmental and infrastructure projects including investigations, assessments, engineering studies, designs, and construction-phase services.
Your Role:
- Proficiency and working knowledge of Civil 3D and its functions (i.e., alignments, profiles, grading groups, corridors, etc.).
- Work with engineers to develop designs for civil, environmental, and infrastructure projects.
- Develop and plot maps showing topographical contours, elevations, profiles, cross-sections, and erosion and sediment controls.
- Develop and draft design drawings of structures and installations such as aggregate equipment pads, impoundments, roads, culverts, pipelines, manholes, tanks, buildings, landfills, etc. including grading and Erosion & Sediment Control BMP’s.
- Support the preparation of engineering reports, cost estimates, specifications, regulatory permits, construction schedules, and designs for projects.
- Familiarity with ACC/BIM Software.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred.
- Relevant experience required for this position is 5-years or more.
- Good working knowledge of the following software: latest versions of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Excel.
- Working knowledge of latest Pennsylvania DEP Erosion & Sediment Control requirements a plus.
- Ability to work on and prioritize a variety of technical assignments and complete work on schedule to the satisfaction of the requestor.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as databases, field notes, reports, specifications, maps, and engineering drawings.
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and clients.
- Ability to work with basic engineering and mathematical concepts and principles and apply those concepts to design development.
- Ability to apply logical and technical understanding to carry out instructions received in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
