 What we are looking for

  • Holds or actively working towards professional membership of a security body such as the Register of Security Engineers and Specialists (RSES) or Register of Chartered Security Professionals.
  • Possesses an in-depth understanding of security risk management principles and the ability to apply these to our own bespoke process.
  • A good understanding of security policies and procedures.
  • Has a good understanding of a range of security systems and the development of operational requirements.
  • Has an excellent understanding of the RIBA plan of work and security design’s place within this across physical, technical, and operational components.
  • Is abreast of current initiatives within the industry such as SABRE, SecureByDesign, CPTED, etc.
  • Extensive experience of delivering security projects within the built environment, a significant part of which must include demonstrable experience of working in a multi-disciplinary consultancy environment.
  • Relevant degree in security or built environment discipline.
  • Basic technical understanding of electronic security systems would be preferable.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral), and an ability to simplify complexity in briefs and reports.
  • Demonstrable ability to manage a team working in a fast paced and demanding environment with tight deadlines.
  • Able to achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) before appointment and able to achieve National Security Vetting in due course. Current SC or DV is an advantage.
  • Normally resident in the UK and able to travel nationally to Client sites.
  • Willing to travel to our Bristol and London offices on a monthly basis.
