Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum three years of relevant administrative experience is required.
  • A minimum five years of professional work experience in an office environment is required.
  • Ability to maintain records in an effective, confidential and secure manner.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications including MS Office, SharePoint and InfoPath is required.
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in the use of computer spreadsheet, database, and word processing application software, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and SharePoint, or their equivalent.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills including diplomacy, discretion, and the ability to interact in a professional, customer service-oriented manner with staff and residents. 
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Political acumen and discretion necessary to work effectively with various entities and individuals in a complex organizational environment.
  • Ability to interpret, apply, and explain complex policies, rules and regulations clearly.
  • Ability to lead and direct the work of others.
  • Experience with US Department of State.
  • Ability and willingness to travel in conflict zones.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to understand and effectively carry out oral and written directions/instructions.
  • Level 4/4 in English is required.
