EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in toxicology, risk assessment, environmental/public health, biological sciences, or a related field
Candidates must have earned a Bachelor’s degree in a pertinent field of public health OR natural science
A minimum of 10-15 years of applicable experience
Demonstrated experience with human health, ecological and/or radiological risk assessments for New Mexico or at a Federal Facility a plus
Previous experience conducting third party reviews of risk assessments to ensure assessment defensibility, quality and compliance with regulatory requirements
Demonstrated experience with line management of technical staff
Demonstrated experience with negotiating with regulatory agencies
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills are required
Technical inquisitiveness, a positive attitude, and an ability to work well in teams are essential
Exhibit solid, practical skills in Microsoft Office applications (spreadsheet (Excel), word processing (Word), scheduling (Project))
The ability to handle multiple tasks, coordinate effectively with others, and work independently within a team
Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to utilize critical thinking, a flexible approach to problem solving, excellent interpersonal communication (oral and written), planning, and organizational skills; and attention to detail
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Familiarity with the LANL site, access requirements, general employee requirements, and work environment preferred
The qualified candidate may be required to attain and maintain a DOE Q clearance
Complies with all health & safety policies and practices
Complies with all site access and security requirements
Individual must pass a pre-employment drug screen and accept all company policies. This position may require a physical fit-for-duty screen as well
