Remote Sensing/GIS Scientist
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Geographic Information Systems , Remote Sensing, Geology or Geophysics
- 3-5 years of experience (experience in a consulting engineering environment would be considered an asset)
- Experience with computer scripting in C++, Python, SQL, MATLAB
- Experience with ArcGIS Desktop 10.x and other ESRI products and extensions
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of GIS concepts and the principles of cartographic design
- Understanding of different types of geographic datasets, including shapefiles and geodatabases and the ability to create and edit data in the ArcGIS environment
- Understanding of coordinate systems and projections
- Knowledge of AutoCAD considered an asset
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team that is spread out geographically
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with remote sensing technologies such as LiDAR, multispectral, geophysical data will be considered an asset.

A requirement of working for Tetra Tech is that you are at least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada. (A copy of a valid work permit may be required.)
All qualified candidates will be considered for the role and will be eligible for relocation allowance if selected (and are located outside of Alberta).
