We are seeking a Regional Manager for our Water Group based in Plano, TX. Successful candidates will be responsible for providing management, technical, and staff support for a variety of infrastructure-related projects, primarily involving the planning and design of water/wastewater/stormwater pipelines, treatment facilities, pump stations, and storage facilities. Candidates should be skilled in managing multiple priorities, organizing time and projects, tracking budgets and meeting deadlines.
Your Role:
- Lead and manage the execution of water projects from conceptual planning phases through final design plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Manage staff and develop/mentor project managers in the North Texas region for the Water market.
- Coordinate closely with the operations manager and project managers on scope and fee development and contract negotiations.
- Maintain existing client relationships and develop new client and project opportunities.
- Participate in marketing including increased brand recognition and awareness, conference planning and participation, and identification and recruiting new staff.
- Provide exceptional client service to clients.
- Effectively lead multidisciplinary project teams.
- Ensure technical accuracy, standard engineering practices and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various reports and design projects.
- Make independent assessment of engineering problems and recommend solutions to engineering discipline leads, resolve questions, plan, coordinate, and execute work in a safe, timely, cost effective and compliant manner.
- Achieve financial targets in relation to project profitability and utilization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Civil or Environmental Engineering in Texas, or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months.
- 15+ years of related experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in technical project execution and in writing and pricing scopes of work for proposals.
- Experience delivering technical and business presentations.
- Proven track record of successfully bringing in and executing profitable assignments for clients and building key target client accounts.
- Proven track record of successfully managing projects and delivering on time and within budget, while meeting or exceeding client expectations.
