Position summary & job purpose:

Tetra Tech was awarded the USAID Sustainable Energy for Indonesia's Advancing Resilience (SINAR) project from January 2021 to January 2025. SINAR seeks to advance Indonesia's development goals in expanding reliable and equitable energy services necessary for sustainable development and inclusive economic growth. To achieve this goal, SINAR will focus on the following areas: 1) Accelerating deployment of advanced energy technologies, 2) Improving performance of energy utilities, 3) Applying procurement best practices, and 4) Establishing an institutional framework and capacity for energy sector transformation. By achieving this goal, USAID will contribute to Indonesia’s Sustainable Development Goals and 2020-2024 National Medium Term Development Plan.


SINAR is recruiting for an experienced Project Management Specialist to be responsible for coordinating project activities and provide support to senior management to identify project needs to ensure timely implementation of activities in accordance with the Project Management Plan. 

Position responsibilities: 

  • Work with all Objective Leads to establish, maintain, and update Microsoft Project database.
  • Assist Objective Leads to establish project baseline schedules, monitor actual performance, in structuring SINAR project pipeline, and make schedule updates as approved by the Chief of Party.
  • Support Objective leads, following the Director of Strategic Programs instructions to coordinate meetings, activities, communications, and information exchange with counterparts (PLN, MEMR, MoF, etc.) and external collaborating parties (World Bank, ADB, IMF, etc).
  • Support the Director of Strategic Programs and Objective Leads by identifying counterparts needs and proposing supporting initiatives for evaluation to the Objective Leads.
  • Monitor timelines, milestones, and deadlines, and inform Objective Lead of any deviations from the relevant Scope of Work (SOW) and deliverable schedule.
  • Develop and maintain a project roster, schedule, timeline, milestone, including assigning and monitoring timely completion of the project related activities.
  • Liaise with Objective Leads or designee to coordinate SINAR project activities.
  • Monitor and control deliverable progress.
  • Organize and archives project correspondences and records consistent with the Project Configuration Management plan.
  • Support the Director of Strategic Programs in other areas as needed.


Essential KSAs required (experience, skills, education, certification, etc):

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably business/administration, project management, applied science or related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience and/or exposure in project development
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Microsoft Project software

Valued but not required KSAs:

  • Indonesian national
  • Familiarity with USAID procedures and practices for quality control, including monitoring.
  • Proven organizational skills related to project execution
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Willingness to work with other members of an assignment team including both international and national employees and/or consultants.

  • Office setting, domestic travel
