Project Geologist – Parsippany, NJ
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Geology, Hydrogeology or Geotechnical Engineering.
- A master’s degree in Geology is a plus.
- 5 - 8+ years of direct relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and advancing environmental site conceptual models in complex geological settings.
- Ability to develop and lead moderate size projects (including remedial investigations and feasibility studies), defining scope, objectives and methods.
- Experience installing monitoring wells, both overburden and bedrock.
- Comprehensive knowledge of geology, groundwater flow, contaminant fate and transport.
- Experience developing and applying groundwater flow and contaminant transport models.
- Experience with geophysical methods and geochemical studies and analysis.
- Able to lead large low-flow groundwater sampling events.
- Ability to lead a technical team and train and mentor more junior staff.
- Proficient in assess/evaluating geologic data and associated report preparation.
- Experienced in communicating with clients, regulators and the public.
- This position requires successful completion of 40 hours of OSHA health and safety training for working with potentially contaminated materials (provided, as needed), annual 8-hour refresher courses, first aid training, CPR training, and annual medical monitoring.
- The ability and willingness to perform fieldwork and travel are also required.
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations.
