We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Project Analyst/Billing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing project data, preparing billing statements, and ensuring accurate and timely invoicing.
The ideal candidate has strong numerical and analytical skills, as well as excellent attention to detail. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our projects and ensure the smooth operation of our billing processes.
Your Role:
· Manage and administer subcontracts and consultant contracts. Serve as the Purchasing contact for CES/HEI for purchased items and services.
· Review contracts for billing requirements and configure the Company Project Accounting system for accurate billings.
· Handle project initiation, maintenance, and closeout in the Company Project Accounting software.
· Prepare rate recalculations, cost data analysis, and post invoices, credits, and adjustments into Oracle.
· Prepare project cost, revenue, unbilled/unearned reconciliations, and analysis. Provide ad-hoc reports for internal and external customers as requested.
· Prepare and issue client invoices in accordance with contract terms, listing items sold and services performed, amounts due, credit terms, and dates of performance.
· Conduct analysis of all financial records for projects.
· Assist with and attend quarterly project reviews. Maintain required Project Estimates at Completion for revenue recognition.
· Provide accounting and financial support to management, including financial reports and account analysis.
· Serve as the contact for clients on the collection of accounts receivable.
· Complete special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Principles, Project Management, or a Technical Field.
· More than 15 years of experience in project cost accounting.
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
· Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
· Understanding of job cost accounting as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulations.
· Experience with procurement and subcontract management is a major plus.
· A pre-employment drug screen in compliance with federal regulations is required, along with a physical if needed.
· Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
