Your Role: 

The Program Manager is a seller-doer role that leads and supports the strategy, development, capture, and execution of environmental,  engineering, and asset management projects.    Environmental services include NEPA, Compliance, Natural Resources, evaluation of environmental liabilities; site investigation, risk assessment, feasibility study, remedial design, remediation, and construction management; compliance and permitting; RCRA, CERCLA, CWA and NEPA support; and communication and negotiation with federal, state and local regulatory agencies.  

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Develop new client accounts and work with Tetra Tech account managers, Major Client leaders, and Business Line leaders to expand existing client accounts.
  • Prepare proposals, review proposals, provide feedback, prepare capture strategies, and perform technical work as necessary balancing sales and utilization. Assemble and lead teams to effectively and efficiently complete proposals on time and within budget and regulatory guidelines.
  • Develop and implement growth strategies to increase client base for a broad range of integrated services including compliance, planning, site investigation, risk assessment, remediation, construction, and construction management services.
  • Identify, develop and nurture teaming and/or strategic joint venture partnerships for major government contracts.
  • Capable of leading and managing large proposals, projects or programs.
  • Other duties as requested by Senior Management to support Operations.

Qualifications / Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 20+ years of experience in environmental consulting services with experience in proposals, program/project management, business development, and strategic planning.
  • Prior experience leading projects interacting with a wide variety of federal, state and municipal governments. Additional experience with commercial markets a plus.

  • Occasional trips to project site locations may require that the employee walk over uneven surfaces and potentially up/down steps or hills.

  • Must be fluent in English, writing and speaking.
  • Must possess excellent writing capabilities and have experience generating reports suitable for submittal to clients.
  • Is expected to make verbal presentations including project summaries, technical status, reports , etc.
