Required Qualifications:

  • M.A. degree in Anthropology.

  • Twenty years of direct experience in the cultural resource and natural resource (biological and physical) compliance, permitting, and baseline assessment practice area with more recent experience providing innovative sustainable solutions that set apart you as a strategic partner to your clients.

  • Registered Professional Archaeologist.

  • Principal Investigator recognized by Arizona and other surrounding states.

  • Experience mentoring junior team members and being responsible for the operational success of a practice area program or group.

  • Demonstrated experience generating revenue that meet levels typically associated with a principal level consultant.

  • Experience working across disciplines to develop interdisciplinary solutions for a variety of market segments and cross selling services outside of the candidate’s technical focus area.

  • Experience working collaboratively with regulatory agencies to successfully receive approvals on key infrastructure and mitigation projects.

  • Ability to delegate project and operation tasks to more junior team members to effectively utilize candidate’s strengths is essential.

  • Skilled in oral and written communication with demonstrated ability developing and delivering effective presentations to customers and management.

  • Maintains a cultural resource Principal Investigator status with most federal and state agencies requiring specific permit qualifications in the Southwest U.S., particularly in Arizona.

  • A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD in Anthropology preferred but not required.

  • Familiarity with collaborating on recruitment needs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds across uneven terrain in all weather conditions.

  • Ability to travel to business functions as well as various client and office locations (approx. 25% -50% of travel required).

Work Environment / Environmental Factors:

  • This position may have a hybrid work arrangement to be worked out with your supervisor, but the candidate must reside within 145 miles of the local Phoenix, AZ office. This arrangement is subject to review and may change at the company’s discretion.

  • Frequent periods of time sitting or standing at a desk and using a computer. Occasional periods of time walking, lifting, and bending.

  • Occasional periods of time working outside in various weather conditions. 

Additional Information:

  • Full-time, Monday through Friday work schedule (40 hours). Occasionally extended hours may be required based on project and/or client needs.

  • Work will be primarily performed in an office setting with periodic travel by vehicle or airplane to business meetings. Occasional field work may be required for oversight
