Minimum Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or advanced degree in one or more disciplines: engineering, economics, sciences, law, business administration, or public policy.
  • 15 years of progressive management consulting experience in the energy sector, preferably with one or more Big-4 or strategy consulting firms.
  • Experience in conventional and non-conventional energy systems and markets, electric utilities and trends in emerging technologies and business models in Asia.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and leading teams for business growth and executing large (multi-million dollar) and complex (e.g., multiple work stream, multiple stakeholders) assignments.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to work within a multifunctional and multinational organization.
  • Demonstrated record of business development, and ability to propose, win and implement work.
  • Strong executive presence with an ability to build trusted relationships with partners, customers, lenders, service providers and investors.
  • Proven record of leadership, demonstrated by a strong followership from junior colleagues and peers with exhibited success hiring, leading, and motivating highly effective teams, ideally with experience managing people with diverse backgrounds and skillsets.
  • Willingness to travel regionally and internationally to project locations and conferences.
  • Extremely deft communicator - listening, empathizing, and communicating well with a range of audience types, especially customers and partners and navigating demanding situations to reach win-win solutions and deep, long-term business relationships.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills in English.
  • Previous experience serving in leadership positions (C-level) for an Indian or multinational organization.
  • Proficiency in other languages from the region.
  • Skills in one or more areas covering analytics, simulation, cloud computing, design, and mapping.
  • Professional certification in project management disciplines (e.g., PMP, Prince 2), engineering (e.g., PE), finance (e.g., CFA) or corporate governance (e.g., chartered director).
